Leeds Castle
Dit is een reproductie van een antieke quilt. De quilt is voor mij gemaakt door Sarah Falco en de inspiratie kwam van een antieke quilt uit de collectie van de British Quilters Guild, hij dateert uit circa 1870. Het was leuk om stoffen te zoeken die zo goed mogelijk bij het origineel pasten.
De afmetingen van de originele quilt zijn 206 cm x 245 cm (81” x 96”), die van ons is ongeveer 145 cm x 145 cm (57” x 57”).
Er is geen patroon beschikbaar voor deze quilt, alleen een "plattegrond" en een foto.
We hebben besloten om een stoffenpakket samen te stellen met stof voor de "achtergrond", de randen en de ruiten met zes punten. Je vindt er ook een malletje en EPP-papier om een goede start te maken, plus de "plattegrond".
This is a reproduction of an antique quilt. The quilt is made for me by Sarah Falco and the inspiration was an antique quilt from the collection of the British Quilts Guild dated ca 1870. It was fun to look for fabrics that would match the original as close as possible.
The size of the original quilt is 206cm x 245cm (81” x 96”), ours is approx. 145cm x 145cm (57” x57”).
There is no pattern available for this quilt, there is just a “map” and a photo.
We decided to make up a fabric kit, that contains fabric for the background, the borders and the 6 pointed diamonds, you can also find a template and EPP papers to make a good start + the “map”.
